The holding power of the mushroom-shaped hook fasteners varies depending on the stitch density, with the SJ3550 model featuring a widely used 250 stitches per inch (SPI) count, known for its optimal balance of strength and flexibility.

The mushroom hook fastener is backed with an acrylic foam adhesive that initially exhibits low tackiness but gradually increases its adhesive strength over time, ensuring a stronger and more secure bond as it cures.
